Whilst everyone who is part of the Old Links Golf Team are overjoyed to have members back out playing golf, there are a few matters that we are hoping to remind people about, that if they can follow, will help to keep the course in as good a condition as possible, both now and in the future.

The temporary 1st / 10th tee, whilst temporary and will be changing soon, please can you continue to follow any signage and guidance that is communicated to members regarding the direction of travel / footfall on leaving this newly formed / recovering grassed areas.

When teeing off the 1st / 10th, a number of people have been walking straight off right when it should be left. The grass paths and seeded areas need to be avoided as best as they can, so they can continue to recover and regenerate following the intense work of the winter project.

The new patio area has encouraged some people to use it to cut across the putting green. Sometimes this has simply been to speak to someone or to look at some part of the course / watercourse but sometimes it is with people cutting across with golf clubs....and tracking across / around the green. Similar to the Pro Shop side, golfers (and non golfers) need to keep to the path and Do Not walk across the putting green.

Finally on Green's with Buggies being hired / members with buggies, it has again been noted that people have been occasionally running over the new turfed areas. Going over some of the new areas in buggies can only cause damage especially while the turf is new and bedding in. Can anyone who utilises a buggy please follow the buggy rules and also be extra wary and avoid areas that are still recovering / regenerating.

One more thing.....and there's always one more thing...... a polite reminder to keep the usual tasks in your mind. Repair pitch marks, replace divots and club rake bunkers as best as you can please. so to help everyone enjoy their round and keep raising the quality of the course too.
