Implications to Club - October

Dear Members

You will no doubt have heard during the week, that the Local Restrictions are changing once again due to covid 19 cases rising in our area. These have become stricter once more and impact mainly on our clubhouse provision.

Please find attached our latest Clubhouse protocols document for October 2020. This is published in many places around the clubhouse too, along with online on our Members Hub / App, in the documents section - coronavirus updates.

Clubhouse Protocols - October 2020

Merseyside - New Local Restrictions - Gov website

A brief summary of the implications is as follows:

- When in the clubhouse, you are limited to single households at a table indoors – bar staff will bring a chair to your table if you are a multi person - single household group. Inform them of this on arrival when being shown to a table for the table service.

- After further advice, the Locker rooms will be closed off again. Officially this is from today but if members have their clubs currently stored, they can visit this weekend and enter one at a time to remove them. Beyond monday, clubs must be taken home / kept in your car.

- We will continue to keep the Trolley Store open, but this must strictly be a 1 in 1 out situation. You must sanitise your hands before and after you get your trolley in / out.

- The Rule of 6 is still enforced outdoors but social (physical) distancing must be kept very strict. There is also NO MIXING of groups. You can't 'float' socially between tables. You must stay only with your social group. We recommend that pre and post golf, you remain just with your golfing group only which will keep this requirement simple.

There will no doubt be further updates next week but Council are pleading with you all as responsible members of our Club, do adhere to these rules otherwise further restrictions will come in place, be they Government ordered or Council decisions in order to ensure the Club is meeting it's Covid secure responsibilities.

As you all already are I'm sure, lets keep our fingers crossed that the cases stop rising and begin to fall, so we can come out of these local restrictions sooner rather than a long time down the road later.

Keep Safe Everyone and thank you in advance for your co-operation and support in keeping the Golf Club as safe an environment for all our Members, Guests and Staff.
